Lifestyle 

Everyone wants to be healthy, and everywhere you look there are quick fix, transformation programs. Maybe you’ve tried one, two, three.....ten of them. The problem with these approaches is that they are restrictive, regimented, impractical and unsustainable. But here’s a secret .... it doesn’t have to be that complicated, it just requires a long term plan to gradually develop new and healthy habits. Ask yourself, if it took 20 or 30 years to arrive where we are now, is it realistic to think that we can totally reverse that outcome, restructure our entire lifestyle and maintain those results with a thirty day quick fix? A better approach is to make a progression of incremental changes leading to long term and sustainable better health. If you could see yourself 10, 20, or 30 years in the future, strong, healthy, happy and full of energy, would you care if the journey to get there took longer than thirty days, or would you instead be continuing to enjoy that journey? We put a custom plan together for you to assist in developing new habits so you can reach your health and fitness goals. 

Exercise 

After the age of thirty, we lose about 5% of our muscle every decade and less muscle not only makes us weaker, but also decreases mobility, stability and balance so resistance training is a vital part of a balanced program to grow and maintain muscle. Contrary to popular belief it is possible to build muscle well into our 50s, 60s and beyond, and this added muscle not only provides the benefits of a stronger body with increased flexibility and range of motion, but also reduces the risk of falls, broken bones, and restricted joint and limb movement. We'll do a full assessment of your current fitness level and build an individual, progressive, custom plan for you that's  designed to strengthen your body and improve flexibility and balance. Our app based programs offer individualized workouts specifically tailored to your goals and include exercise demonstration videos, progress tracking workout logs, and communication tools for quick, effective advice and support from your instructor. 

Nutrition 

The problem with most nutrition plans is food restriction...this food is bad, this food is good, eat this, not that. In a way that’s the attraction for these short term programs. We figure “I can do anything for thirty days”. Then after 30 days of eating food we don’t like, and not eating food we do like, we go back to our old habits and poof, that’s the end of it. A better plan would be to eat food we like, while limiting or substituting some less healthy choices, to ensure that we have energy for our active lifestyle and the fuel to maintain and build muscle! We design a custom nutrition plan for you that is based on your food preferences while not eliminating or limiting any food group.
